The Contract for a short-term holiday rental shall be made between the Client and Taymouth Holiday Centre. The Contract shall be governed by Scottish Law. The contract will be deemed to be entered into when the initial deposit is processed and Taymouth Holiday Centre issues confirmation. The Contract will be subject to all of the following booking conditions.
A deposit of one half of the rental fee is payable if the booking is made more than six weeks before the commencement of the rental. Non-payment of the balance of the rental due six weeks before the arrival date shall be construed as a cancellation of the contract by the Client. For bookings made less than six weeks before the commencement of the rental, the total rental fee is payable on booking. Payment can only be accepted by cheque if it is denominated in sterling (UK pounds). All payments shall be made to Taymouth Holiday Centre, Kenmore, Aberfeldy, Perthshire PH15 2HN.
Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever reason must be in writing. Every effort will be made to re-let the cancelled holiday let but, failing this, the entire rental fee will be payable. Taymouth Holiday Centre strongly recommends clients should take out their own Holiday Insurance policy.
VAT is included in the rental fee where applicable. Current VAT standard rate tax in the UK is 20%.
5. Period of Hire

6. Number of Persons in the property
The number of persons occupying the property must NOT exceed the maximum number stipulated in the brochure and on the website. Taymouth Holiday Centre reserves the right to refuse entry to the entire party if this condition is not observed. For occupancy purposes, any child of three years or over will be deemed to be one occupant. Any child under the age of three years, must be noted above but will not be counted in the total occupancy.
Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property, Taymouth Holiday Centre should be notified immediately and in the case of a serious problem, the complaint should be confirmed in writing.
8. Care of the property
The Client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property and its furniture, pictures, fittings and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same state of repair and in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.
9. Good housekeeping deposit/Breakages or damage
On registration at the beginning of the hire or before arrival, Taymouth Holiday Centre requires to take a payment of £150 from the Lead Hirer’s credit/debit card as a Good Housekeeping guarantee. Each house will be supplied with crockery, cutlery and glasses for 1.5 times the maximum occupancy number of the property. Guests are asked to check this on arrival and notify Reception of any discrepancies within 24 hours of the 4pm check-in time. If no notification is received, Taymouth Holiday Centre will assume that there are no discrepancies.
The Lead Hirer is legally bound to notify Taymouth Holiday Centre of any breakages or damage to the property. Crockery, cutlery and glasses will be checked on your departure and, if incorrect, reimbursement payment will be deducted from the Good Housekeeping deposit for this and any other damage before a refund is made to the Lead Hirer. Refund will be made to the Lead Hirer’s credit/debit card within 24 hours of the departure time.
