The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is always a priority and understandably the evolving Coronavirus situation may cause concern in relation to your holiday plans.
Here’s what we’re doing: -
Your Safety
We take great pride in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene and in response to the Coronavirus have implemented additional measures to make our cleaning and hygiene protocols even more rigorous. This process takes additional time so please afford our teams the time required to service your accommodation prior to arrival.Existing Reservations
As we are currently under level 4 restrictions till the 26th of April 2021 we are only accepting bookings after this time. If you have a booking before that date we will be in touch with the options available to you.New Reservations
Any reservations made after 25th May 2020 that cannot take place due to official COVID-19 restrictions will issued a voucher to the value already paid.We are monitoring the guidance of the Scottish Government and trust you will continue to enjoy holidays at Mains of Taymouth where you can be assured of the highest standards. How much deposit do I need to pay?
We require a 50% deposit to confirm the booking and
the balance is payable 6 weeks before your arrival. If you are booking within 6 weeks of the arrival date,
full payment is required at the time of booking.
Why do I need cancellation insurance?
Any cancellation made by the Client for whatever
reason must be in writing. Every effort will be made to re-let the cancelled holiday let but, failing this,
the entire rental fee will be payable. Taymouth Holiday Centre strongly recommends clients take out their
own Holiday Insurance policy. A £35 admin fee applies to all cancellations. Should we have to cancel your
holiday booking due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, we will make every effort to offer/find
alternative accommodation. However, if this is not possible all monies paid to us in relation to the
cancellation will be fully refunded. Our liability will not extend beyond this.
Can I bring a dog(s)?
Guests who bring dog/s must take full responsibility for their
pet at all times and must pick up all fouling. Dog/s are allowed by prior agreement only in many of our
properties. Guests must bring their own dog/s bedding & bowls. Dogs are not allowed into bedrooms or
onto any furniture and must not be left unattended in the house at ANY time. Maximum of 2 dogs per property.
Nightly charge per dog is £10.00. Please refer our Pet terms & conditions prior to booking.
Is it possible to book single sex parties/parties of young people?
While we welcome
groups, and celebration parties, we ask all guests to please respect the peace and tranquillity of the area
and that noise be kept to a minimum with no noise/hot tub use after 10pm. Failure to observe these
conditions may result in your party being asked to leave the accommodation. Reservations for celebration
parties of 8 persons and above must be made by telephone to 01887 830226, failure to do so may result in
your reservation being cancelled and loss of any deposit paid.
The properties are fully equipped – do I need to bring anything?
Please check under
each individual property on our website. We send you a list of the provisions we supply on your final
payment but they can also be found on our website under each individual property.
Is Broadband/Wireless access available?
While we offer complimentary Wi-Fi during your
stay at all of the properties. Wi-Fi is also available at the Courtyard Bar & Restaurant. We do ask for
no downloading or streaming to be done during your stay as the Wi-fi in the Kenmore area is not strong
enough. Faults can occur from time to time which are unfortunately beyond our control. Many houses have
their own dedicated Wi-Fi, please see website as this is clearly indicated there.
Can I choose my bed configuration?
The majority of our properties offer zip & link
beds to be either super king or twin. Please check on the website under each property or Reception when
booking.
Do you have allergy free pillows and duvets?
Bruadair House is the only property with
feather bedding, all others have synthetic duvets & pillows
Can we smoke in the property?
No. We have a strictly No Smoking policy in all our
holiday accommodation.
What time do I arrive and depart the property?
Access to all properties is from 4pm
and departure time is by 10am. Unfortunately due to the seasons getting busier, we cannot offer earlier
check in but you are more than welcome to arrive and use the onsite facilities.
Do we have a Hot Tub?
All the properties have hot tubs, except Bell Tower, Rivard, all
the Maxwell Villa’s & Gallops Apartments. On each departure, all hot tubs are drained, cleaned and water
replenished prior to each arrival. If your property is a changeover then this may mean that your hot tub
will not be ready for use until the morning after arrival.
Do we have a swimming pool?
No but a fantastic new pool on the Breadalbane Community
Campus in Aberfeldy (6 miles), as well as a climbing wall, sports hall and multi-gym. The lovely sandy bay
in Kenmore is ideal for safe swimming and paddling when the weather permits.
Do we have a restaurant?
Yes! The Courtyard bar & Brasserie is on site and is a
lovely place to eat or relax or pop in for a drink. For the winter times we have the log burning stoves and
for the better weather an outside decking area for eating and drinking al fresco! Dogs are welcome in the
bar area and children are welcome throughout the establishment. Sample menus available to look at on the
website. There is also a good choice of other eating establishments within easy reach.
Is Reception open at the weekends?
Yes. We are open 9am – 6pm, 7 days a week.
Do guests get a discount on Mains of Taymouth Golf Course?
Yes. From 1st April to 31st
October, our holiday house guests are charged £10.00 per person per day which entitles you to unlimited
golf! Trolleys, buggies & clubs can be hired at an additional charge. From 1st November to 31st March,
our holiday house guests can enjoy free winter golf, subject to weather conditions.
Do any of your houses have disabled access?
Mains Park Court, Easter Bruadair, Wester
Bruadair, Bruadair House, The White House and all the downstairs Gallops apartments all have entrance access
with no steps and access to the living room, kitchen, dining and at least one bedroom with a shower en-suite
which has a small step into the shower.
Do we have a BBQ?
All the properties have gas BBQ’s EXCEPT Maxwell Villa’s &
Gallops Apartments but we do offer a communal picnic area for you to use your own disposable BBQ’s. All
BBQ’s are available between April to end of October and only on request out with this time.
Do we have a outdoor furniture?
All properties have outdoor furniture. The Gallops
apartments, Maxwell Villas, The Bothy, Archway and Bell Tower Cottage have their outdoor furniture available
between April to end of October only.
What happens if I leave an item of clothing/valuables behind?
Whilst every effort is
made to return lost property to its rightful owner Taymouth Holiday Centre cannot be held liable for items
left behind, damaged in storage or lost in transit. Please contact us as soon as possible if you think you
have left anything behind. We hold lost property for 1 month then dispose. Should you wish your item to be
returned we kindly request that the cost of postage be paid for in advance. All perishable foods, including
frozen items, are automatically disposed of at the departure day/time of changeover.
Do I get a bathrobe?
Bathrobes are supplied complimentary in The Farmhouse, Mains Park
Court, Granary Court, Archway Cottage, Bell Tower, Bothy, Easter Bruadair, Wester Bruadair, Bruadair House,
Capercaillie, Inchadney, Skibo Lodge, White House & Schiehallion. All other properties can hire robes @
£10.00 each. Please state at the time of booking.
